Cristian,
You would need to heat the top corners of the enclosure for a few minutes with a hot air gun to soften the glue, lift the top off, and remove the LED grid. Then you would need to replace one of the surface mounted LEDs (the lens cover is a permanent part of each LED). Doing so puts adjacent LEDs at risk of heat damage.
Seeing as you just received it, I would try living with it for awhile and see if it affects your enjoyment. It really is quite common on Game Frames, due to the nature of the display. If you decide you’re not happy with it, I’d be happy to accept a return and refund you the cost (minus shipping/taxes).

Jeremy WilliamsKeymasterThe LEDs sit right inside (at the base of) the plastic mesh. That’s why it’s 6mm thick.
Jeremy WilliamsKeymasterfilenames have to start single digit (0.bmp), then move to 2-digit (10.bmp), and then three (100.bmp).
Jeremy WilliamsKeymasterIt all depends on the LED spacing. Did you get my light grid? Those are spaced 10mm apart. At that distance, to get even light on the vellum I found that the plastic grid needed to be at least 6mm thick, with .5mm walls. Does that answer your question?
Jeremy WilliamsKeymasterOh no! I’m afraid the wire does need to be resoldered, and opening the case requires heating the corners with a hot air gun for a few minutes. If you want to send it back, I can attempt the repair for you. Send me an email (jeremy at this domain) and we’ll exchange details.
Jeremy WilliamsKeymasterYep, you got it!
Jeremy WilliamsKeymasterSounds great, Logod. Take a look at the getIndex function. A couple changes there will mirror the display. I’m away from my development box right now but I can post the necessary changes tonight.
Jeremy WilliamsKeymasterI couldn’t have done it better myself. Hopefully it will work. If it doesn’t, try replacing the AC cable that connects the power supply to the wall.
Jeremy WilliamsKeymasterReplacement sent.
Jeremy WilliamsKeymasterThe plan is to release a batch of 64 late next week, but I expect it to sell out rather quickly. I will probably send an email to everyone on the wait list with the sale time a day or two beforehand. Once those are sold, I’m afraid that will be it for the foreseeable future.
Jeremy WilliamsKeymasterHoly Jesus! That is truly amazing work, especially considering 24 hours. Love the particle effects. Gingerbread man is hilarious. 🙂
Jeremy WilliamsKeymasterHi Rick,
For your and others information, the PCB LED is located to the upper right of the logo. I’ve attached a photo. When you turn on the Game Frame, it should go full bright and then begin to dimly flash or pulse depending on whether it can read from the microSD.
Can you confirm that it’s not turning on at all? If so, it sounds like your PCB has died. Send me an email (jeremy at this domain) and we’ll get it sorted.

It’s $10, like it was on the Kickstarter campaign. Let me know if there are any issues. I’ve never used the digital download feature, but it seems to be working.
Jeremy WilliamsKeymasterHere are some holiday graphics. I can’t find the source anymore but they were shared by some generous soul years ago. Anyone want to take a stab at animating them? 🙂
