Yes, that’s probably the easiest way. Just render out the clip you want from a video editor. That’s also gives you the opportunity to control how it’s cropped square.
Jeremy WilliamsKeymasterThat would work, but it’s designed to read the value from your 00system/clock.ini file. That way you don’t have to recompile to make changes. I’ve attached a sample clock.ini.
The value can be positive or negative.

Unfortunately the Game Frame source is hard coded for a single 16×16 grid, and it won’t play nice with the Matrix library. It sounds like using a proper 16×16 grid is going to be the easiest path to success. I’d try the one offered from RGB-123 here:

Report back!
Jeremy WilliamsKeymasterI’m working on it. Well, at the moment I’m watching Heathers, but earlier today I had an interesting conversation about another run of Game Frames. Thanks for your interest and patience! Details to follow if things pan out.
Jeremy WilliamsKeymasterHere you go!

Jeremy WilliamsKeymasterWhoa, that’s weird. I haven’t seen that on my home units. I can provide you a firmware that allows you to enter an offset in seconds that takes effect every 24 hours. Do you have the ability to flash the firmware? Instructions are in the FAQ.
Jeremy WilliamsKeymasterI’d love to take a look. Please attach one of the problem graphics/folders.
Jeremy WilliamsKeymasterHere you go. It also includes the “finish” feature discussed here:
…which will theoretically allow you to override the timer if desired.

Adafruit also links to a couple libraries that will allow you to play animations. The brightness is no where near Game Frame/NeoPixels/ws2812b but it will be the cheaper and faster route for a school project.
Jeremy WilliamsKeymasterI’m still not clear what you want or how it relates to this thread. Can you explain with more detail? Do you mean a higher resolution Game Frame?
Jeremy WilliamsKeymasterWhat do you mean, other sizes?
Jeremy WilliamsKeymasterI took a look at the source code, and I see what you mean. I agree that this isn’t the best behavior, and I’ve made the code change. Do you have a means of flashing new firmware? I can provide it, if so. Instructions are in the FAQ.
Jeremy WilliamsKeymasterThat’s just what I would try. Send me an email and I’ll get you the files (jeremy at this domain).
Jeremy WilliamsKeymasterInteresting. Can you verify that if you press the NEXT button it skips the rest of the movie?
