Sorry, Sean! I’ve never heard of the destination delivery company charging extra. That sounds like extortion.
Jeremy WilliamsKeymasterThis was actually my goal since Game Frame was just an idea. I even talked to the developer we hired to make LEDed, but the costs were high. I’ll revisit the idea though. I totally agree that it would be helpful.
Jeremy WilliamsKeymasterNice work!
Jeremy WilliamsKeymasterI’d be curious what others think but I’ve tinkered with Aseprite and it looks pretty great. I’ve only used the Trial, which doesn’t support saving, but it has a nice workflow/UI that supports animations and layers. It also appears to save Game Frame-style enumerated files if you create an animation and save it as BMP with the filename 0 (zero).
I’m not sure if the exports 24- or 32-bit files, but you can always convert. Plus I just released new firmware for Game Frame V2 that supports 32-bit BMP files on GitHub.
Jeremy WilliamsKeymasterSorry you’re having problems! I’ll reply to the email you sent and we’ll get this sorted.
Jeremy WilliamsKeymasterNice! Did that part fit without any other adjustments? Does it extend past the rear of the frame?
Jeremy WilliamsKeymasterHm… I’ll take a look when I’m back from traveling late next week. Could be some libraries have been updated and use more Fladh.
Jeremy WilliamsKeymasterYeah, Game Frame has female headers. And you can buy Teensy 3.2 with male headers already soldered. Easy swap.
Jeremy WilliamsKeymasterThe Teensy 3.2 and LC are the same size and pin-compatible. The 3.2 is just more powerful.
Jeremy WilliamsKeymasterI’ve wanted to try this for some time and am happy to collaborate here. For starters, let’s assume we’re working with the Game Frame V2 (2016 version) and I’d also suggest upgrading the microcontroller to a Teensy 3.2 for more Flash and gain access to the Teensy audio library. I’m traveling right now, but in a week I can verify there’s enough SRAM to compile on Teensy 3.2 w/ the audio library.
I’ve posted the new Game Frame source on GitHub if anyone wants to get a jump on it.

There is a FFT library for Teensy LC (converts microphone signals to frequency values) if you want to hack…
Jeremy WilliamsKeymasterThe problem is due to long folder names. It appears the latest batch of microSD cards is formatted FAT, but if you backup the data on them and format them FAT32 they should be able to handle long names.
Jeremy WilliamsKeymasterCool. If you want to use long filenames, you can try backing up all the data on the microSD and formatting it FAT32 (don’t use quick format), and then copying the data back on.
Jeremy WilliamsKeymasterHaven’t tried them but could be that the folders names are too long. All folders should be 8.3 format. Have you tried renaming them?
Jeremy WilliamsKeymasterGlad to hear it!!
Jeremy WilliamsKeymasterYeah, thanks man! I appreciate the post.
