I brought my GameFrame home from having it at work because I added the new wifi module. Our computer room at home isn’t as bright as my office, so I turned the brightness down. After a while I noticed that certain animations seemed to be missing pixels. I thought my SD card might be corrupt but it was not. Some pixels are at a low level at maximum brightness and once I dimmed the display, those pixels essentially went below a visible threshold and were “off.” Once I increased the brightness they returned to normal appearance. I felt pretty dumb chasing down the problem only to find out there wasn’t one.
Yep. I hope to one day improve this but that’s life for the moment. The dimmer the display, the lower the color depth. I spent a long time striking the balance we have, and sometimes it means black instead of bland, blending contrast.
