I’m finally getting around to building my custom enclosure for my Game Frame (ordered the maker kit). As I start laying things out I find myself wondering what is the optimal spacing between the plastic grid and vellum layers and the LED grid? I’m sure this was worked out in the design I’m hoping Jeremy will share his findings.

    Thanks,
    CBB

It all depends on the LED spacing. Did you get my light grid? Those are spaced 10mm apart. At that distance, to get even light on the vellum I found that the plastic grid needed to be at least 6mm thick, with .5mm walls. Does that answer your question?

I did get your light grid and your Plastic mesh. I’m looking for the distance that the led grid needs to be placed away (off set behind) the plastic grid, paper grid, vellum stack.

The LEDs sit right inside (at the base of) the plastic mesh. That’s why it’s 6mm thick.
