First attempt, experimenting with both the filmstrip and sequenced animations. Features the DW1 hero walking on field tiles. I think of this as the “Hunting for Gold Golems” animation.

Sorry, no GIF – I compiled this from sprites directly into the BMP files.

Made a couple more. The config.ini offsets combined with a frame-by-frame BMP files make some a movement effect pretty easy to get compared to trying to make 16×16 frames with the combined movements included. The downside is that it looks like using the “panoff” option requires basing the sprites on a black background.

These are great! I’m glad to see someone experimenting with CONFIG.INI and nested folders. If you want to use the CONFIG.INI moveX/Y functions with a colored background, set PANOFF to FALSE and leave your own “empty” 16×16 block on either end of the graphics with whatever colors you want. (Does that make sense?)
